THIS WEEK saw the biggest phase of the restoration of our Victorian home.
In the spring we had some windows replaced and this was just the start of the idea of bringing the house back to life.
Over the years we had lived and worked in the house, patching up and painting as everyone does in a lifetime. However, we thought our home, built in the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee - 1887 - should have a proper 'facelift' in some of the rooms - as well as having more windows updated.
So we discussed our thoughts with our builder, Brian and his brother John, who love these old antique houses and had lots of good sound suggestions. Their skills are such that they could also put them into practice and so we bring you some of the work and results as we go along.

Have a look back at our main website to see how all of this started in the spring of 2008
